Owner Story

Four or five years ago, my wife and I came to Tung Chung with a dream: to build a world of our own as we prepared for marriage. We explored many districts, but the moment we arrived here, something felt different. The air was fresher, the pace was gentler, and there was a calmness that wrapped around us. For my wife, who is sensitive to dust and humidity, the cleaner air made all the difference. For both of us, it felt like home.
When we first stepped into this apartment, it was the design that won us over—especially the open kitchen. My wife immediately fell in love with it. It became the heart of our home. Open plan, thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of storage to keep everything tidy, it allowed us to live comfortably while still showcasing the things we love—her cooking, my whiskey collection, the little details that make a house personal.
Most evenings, you would find me working at the bar table while she cooked just across from me. We would talk about our day, laugh, share stories. Those simple, quiet moments—plates coming off the stove, conversations flowing easily—are the memories I will always carry with me.
On weekends, we jog along the coast, visit pop-up stalls by the waterfront, or hike all the way to Tai O in the cooler months, returning by ferry to the pier near our home.
We still love this place deeply. But with both of us working on the Island, the long daily commute has become too much. It’s time for our next chapter—yet this home will always be where our story truly began.
